THE LOWER TOWN TALKS : CITY OF FACTORIES. The second city wandering

The second city wandering of The Lower Town Talks series will take place on 27 June and it will focus on the industrial history of the district. And there’s plenty to talk about! Despite its limited area, in the 19th century The Lower Town experienced a period of intensive progress connected with the emerging of numerous industrial plants. Plenty of them remained until present days although in a much poorer condition compared to the original.

However it is still well worth taking a closer look at them in order to feel the atmosphere of the pre-war Gdansk – fast developing, throbbing with life, beautiful in each part (even this typically industrial one). So put your walking shoes on, make sure you’re properly dressed for the weather and join us for the next Lower Town wandering to find out more about history of this exceptional district. You’re all welcome!
